You know what I do have time for though?? Telling you what my kids say.
Oh I know. This lady and this lady do it all the time, but the fact is that for the last few years, 90% of my facebook posts are basically funny quotes from my kids, so I should probably just go with it even though I have avoided doing this so as not to appear to be a copycat ..which is silly, I realize, since all people's children say funny things.
So here it is. I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you some shtuff my kids say.
JP: the BABY ROBINS!!!! They HATCHED!!!
Jude: oh my GOSS!!! I can hear dem QUACKIN!! (calls out from the top of the porch) OH MUDDER BIIIIIIIRD!!!! Your babies HATCHED!!!!!
Me (while driving in the car): Wow, look at that hawk circling around and around looking for something to eat!
Lucie: Mom that's a goose.
Me: It's not a goose.
Lucie: It is.
JP: Jude, what's your favorite ice cream?
Jude: Ummm banilla and mustachio.
Lucie: You know what people who try to get animals are called? They're called predators.
Jude: NO. They're called STRANGERS.
Lucie: Hey mom, we're pretending to be bagel tigers.
Jude: Yeah, bagel tigers. Wike bagels dat you get fwom Dunkin Donuts.
JP: Bengal tigers like to rest beside the water.
Me: Ah, my allergies. I can't stop sneezing.
Lucie: Oh boy. I hope you didn't get anyone sick.
Me: Nooo. I'm not contagious. It's the stuff in the air that's making me sick.
Lucie: Oh, right. Like bugs....and clouds.
Lucie: (appalled) Mom!!! JohnPaul said that Mia is cuter than the Baby Jesus!!!! (gasps)
JP: (talking with his hands, incredulousy) Well she is!!!!
Lucie: That's mean.
Jude: Mom, wast time we were pwayin and I was baby Henwee and ZohnPaul was da daddy and Wucie was da Mommy and we were makin a soup.
JP: Yeah! And we put bugs and nuts in it and stirred it up and it was DISGUSTIN.

ReplyDeleteSOO glad you're back in blogland. And of course your kids say cute things that are completely different from what other people's kids say, so it's all good. Keep bringing'em on! Since i don't do FB this is the only way I'll know about such gems as banilla and musachio ice cream (I'll have to ask for that next time at the ice cream store).
