A Fairy Garden.

Y'all ready? I'm bout to show you my planties.

I have been a fan of fairy gardens ever since I first saw the Wee Garden blog a few years ago. Check it out, but be warned: you might have a stroke over the cuteness. Viewing these amazing pictures is the only time in my life that I have ever found myself wishing to be the size of a thumb. If I could, I would just jump into those tiny gardens and read a tiny book in a tiny, uncomfortable metal chair. And I would smile the whole time, too.
Last week, i had an inspiring conversation with a dear dear friend about making a terrarium. I had done this before and so had she, but it had been awhile. We were both reading the nester and found ourselves inspired again. I read her blog again today. At about 2 pm this afternoon, I promptly shot up out of my favorite chair and announced " I'm making a fairy garden today!" No one responded. It was a lackluster moment.
However, at approximately seven pm tonight, I made my fairy garden. And it took me about five minutes. I bought a few supplies, like the plants, but some of this stuff was just laying around my house. I made the mushrooms by coloring little wood turnings with red marker and using chalk to make the white spots. My husband walked into the room and told me that I am his little Mr Miyagi. That's one helluva compliment, folks.
This is honestly one of the most gratifying and fun things I've ever made. I am totally doing this again. In fact, I have made about 54 fairy gardens in my head over the last two hours. They are all incredible.I wish you could see.

You want to make one, now, don't you? Oh I know. Mama knows, honey child. Mama know.
sigh. I want to read The Secret Garden like sooo bad right now. Actually, I think I will. Hope you enjoyed the pics. I'm planning on making and posting more of these. Stay tuned!:) PS..I'm linking up @ The Nester's Planty Party! Pleaase swing by there and check check check it out.
