Update

Hello friends! I hope you had a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Boy, I really missed blogging.

Every early November, I go into a bunker down mode. This is mainly because it's a busy time in my family, but it's also because I am kind of like a squirrel.

Yes. You see, I really love winter. I love snow. I love the frost on the windowpanes, the smell of wood smoke, flannel pajamas, mittens, and heavy blankets. I always wonder why the h those Narnia kids couldn't just be satisfied with Winter Narnia. WHAT'S THE PROBLEM, PEOPLE?! Narnia was at it's high point when it was covered in snow.

Anyway. Three of our kids have birthdays in November. Yeah I know, but as I always say, what else are you supposed to do in February?! There's nothing at all to do if you don't have ski passes, which we do not. Plus you have to stay warm! And we do. Very warm here.

So at the beginning of November, I go into my little nest. I go in there and prepare for birthdays, Advent, feast days, and Christmas.

Anyway, GUESS WHAT.

GUESS.

WHAT.

YOU KNOW WHAT!!!!!

Tonight is the return of DOWNTON ABBEY!!!!

Are you excited?? Did you pop your popcorn? Did you bake some scones? Are you gonna drink teeeeeea??

I'm trying to drop some weight, so I can't have any treats. I know! Sad face:( I'll be watching the show with some delicious water, and I'll snack on my nails. Oh, that's gross?? Well to each his own!

See you soon with a recap!!!:)

    1. I did "try" to watch it in real time, but totally fell asleep. Staying up until 11 AM is just too much for me. So, I'm glad there will be the recap...I wasn't sure if there will be one.

  4. Not that I want to overwork you or anything, but it isn't really a return to blogging unless we get some of those amazing stick figure drawings. I am waiting for those with more eagerness than Downton Abbey.

  6. Oh yes and I'll post this here too -- ladies, I'm sure I'm not the only one who was inspired by the blogpost about the amazing apostolate of the baby shower for a complete stranger!! I've already talked the idea up with some wonderful mommy friends of mine and we're going to do the same thing up here in Eastern CT! I promised Heather a full report but thought I'd mention it here too. Wouldn't it be wonderful if it got to be a thing?

  7. I missed it! I didn't get the email until today! I'm soooooo mad because I didn't do anything last night but flick through our worthless DirectTV channels looking for something remotely watchable. UGGGHH! I guess I'll try to sit in front of the computer and catch up on PBS.org

  8. Mwahahaha! Babies are teh worst for sleeping. My 7mo is about 25 pounds, so nursing at night is exhausting moving him around!
