WHEW!!!! HA HA!!
Hey friends! Just a quick thank you to all of you for stopping by and showin some love.
I read every single comment and appreciate every one of them, I really do.
You know I love having fun, but I'm glad to know that I can share some more serious things from time to time, more of the things that have made me who I am today. So thanks for reading.
I thank you for the affirmation, because it means so much. But truth is, it ain't really all about me, either. I think alot of you could relate to what I was saying.
My biggest hope is that God can use those words to help you to feel affirmed and encouraged. There are so many people who feel not good enough or smart enough to build up the Kingdom of God. But the truth is, God has CALLED every one of us, despite our imperfections. We're ALL a part of this. We each have a special role to play. We're each valued and loved by God, and don't you ever let satan convince you that you aren't, or that you're not part of God's plan, that he doesn't have a good plan for you. I know sometimes life sucks, and we all have heartbreak and struggles and battles and mountains to climb, but God is right there with each of us.
He wil not leave you or forsake you. He's asking us to trust Him, even when it's hard. Especially when it's hard.
I'm gonna leave you with this song that has meant alot to me. Maybe it will mean something to you too.
I am so glad I found you and your blog :-).
ReplyDeleteFirst your pictures made me laugh out loud and almost choke on my cheeto's!
ReplyDeleteAmen to what you said at the bottom! He has got big plans for us all:)
You are so talented! I love your cartoon stick figures. And thank you so much for the video! I am turning 60 this year and have just finished with one part of my life and trying to see what God wants me to do next...and trying to not put myself on the shelf and "just be old." The video was very encouraging! LOVE your blog and very fond of you, too!
ReplyDeleteI love this. Made me feel warm and fuzzy.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your blog, your stick figures, your insight....everything! SO glad I found it, thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis posts' pictures were hilarious (I'm right there with you on spiders) and your post prior was beautiful, encouraging, and good. Thank you for sharing your gifts which are filled with goodness and truth! *hugs* :)
ReplyDeleteI have been so blessed to find out about your blog. I love your style!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I followed a link to your blog a month or two ago. There have been a lot of super stressful days lately and first you bring a smile to my face, and then halfway through I find out that God is speaking to me through your writing, and then everything is OK again for a bit. So keep doing what you're doing because it's reaching people :)
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome, Mama H! I've been following your blog for awhile and think your kids are so lucky to have such a hilarious and fun loving mom!:)
ReplyDeleteYou are a hoot!!! and your stick figure cartoons are just too funny. I can see that God is going to use your sense of humour and your drawings for his glory!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for thanking me :D It's like one of the above commenters said, I laugh, then I cry then I get the message. And you are so right, it's always satan who is trying to make us think that we're not good enough. Thank you again, we love you Honeymama!!
ReplyDeleteYou are a great writer!
ReplyDeleteI'm so very glad I stumbled upon this blog! You're funny and insightful, often in the same post, and your illustrations are just too adorable. Also, you have a great name :P
ReplyDeleteI just plain love your stick figures. And your blog. ::happy sigh::
ReplyDeleteBwa-ha-ha! That "great big writer" line is AWESOMENESS!!! Seriously. My 5yo came home from school this week with a huge rubber spider that he is convinced is the most adorable thing since that kitten that throws up its paws in between tummy tickles and all I want to do is tear it limb from limb, stomp on the pieces and burn them. Even though the house would stink of burnt rubber. But I have to sit quietly and smile while it "kisses" me. Jesus, please help me after you get Dan settled, m'kay?
ReplyDeleteYou had me at Snoopy cry.
ReplyDeleteI love your drawings... No, lemme try that again. I LOVE your drawings! Hmm. How 'bout, I LOVE YOUR DRAWINGS!! There. That's what I'm trying to say. Sometimes, ya just gotta shout. Y'know?
ReplyDeleteBut I was so distracted throughout this post. I'm reading along going, "What IS that thing? It looks like a spider... A spider on her head. Does she KNOW there's a spider on her head?" (That's how much I love your drawings - I forget they are drawings and talk to them. Like they were a movie or something.) Anyway, "It sure LOOKS like a spider. What is it, if not a... OMG! It IS a spider! ON HER HEAD!!" Then I had to run around screaming just exactly like you did. Because I have a pregnancy-induced phobia, and there was a big ugly one in my shower three nights ago WITH ME (until my husband, after recovering from the heart-attack brought on by my screams, killed it) and so they are kind of on my mind right now.
Did I mention that I like your drawings? Good. And the rest of your blog is fantastic, too. God speed!
